PS: Rosemerry, Caleb Rainey's poem and his reading of it are breathtaking. I listened twice, I was so moved. And after reading your capsule review of Red Dog Farm by Nathaniel Ian Miller, Christie, I put it on my to-read list. I love stories with dogs in them too, especially when they don't die!

The word "terraphilia" exemplifies the empathy in my creative work: empathy for this burning Earth, for the myriad lives we share the planet with, for we humans, floundering now but capable of so much love and beauty.

Rosemerry and Christie, you inspire me. Thank you!

oh yes, in every way yes. Such a generous word for this kind of empathy with our planet and all its beings

The video brings to mind a quote that someone's stated last week in a poetry class. It goes something like "imagination suffers because everything is being imagined for us." That has given me pause to ask myself what technology is really giving us?

wow, there's a lot in that quote. I wonder if it's true? I suppose it's more where we put our time ... I don't think there is a cap on how much imagination is available, more a matter of giving ourselves time and space to do it ... I also question technology, but there is so creativity available through technology ... both expressing it and connecting with others.
