Nice episode.

The Neuroscience is fascinating, although it seems really we haven't gotten beyond noticing that harmonic "waves" of neurons seem to move us to a convergence of frequency at the borderline of cacaphony when their electrical impulses all fire together. The mechanisms, beyond the regions of the brain involved, seem as mysterious as ever.

I've always defined creativity as involving three stages: Perception, Deconstruction and Reconstruction. Taking the world in, breaking what's perceived down, & putting Humpty Dumpty back together better than ever. What happens in our brains when involved in these three different actions? Before we rush off to Mars, maybe we ought to spend some energy figuring out how and why our brains do that.
